1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb 2-Channel 22-Watt 1×12″ Black Face Combo

Up for sale, here’s a gorgeous example from an original (not a reissue) 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb Black Face combo amplifier in great condition with a lots of mojo and history behind it.

This ’65 Deluxe Reverb belonged to Johnny Colla, former band member of Huey Lewis and the News and Sound Hole, among being involved for decades with multiple artists from the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. You can clearly see the Sound Hole stencil and sticker from Huey Lewis And The News with their contact info that still remains on the back of the amp. This amp has been definitely on the road (I guess with proper tour cases) and constantly serviced cause cosmetically and functionally is fairly clean and all appears to be original with the exception of the tubes and the 3 prong plug for safety reasons.

All transformers and pots are dated ’65. Everything seems original excepts from tubes that are RCA’s. You can see the 2-button footwswitch has been in countless of stages and still works great activating/deactivating the. Reverb and Vibrato.

The speaker is not original to the amp but original (dated 1960) Jensen P12N alnico speaker that suits perfectly well with it.

Aesthetically, there’s only a couple of tiny little rips on the grill otherwise is clean for its age and all the cool history it’s been through. All hardware seems to be all original. The amp sounds clean and 100% as expected.

As you can imagine, Local pickup in LA is much preferred. Although we can ship it out to Continental US.
